What To Expect
  • Gortyna Palace

The significance of the great ancient city of Gortyn is recognized and recorded in its rich mythological and religious tradition. Great gods, like Zeus, Europe and Demeter, but also semi gods, heroes and kings like Minos, Gortys, Rhadamanthys, as well as Iasion and the Minotaur play a leading role in its myths.

  • Phaistos Palace

Phaistos was one of the most important centres of Minoan civilization, and the most wealthy and powerful city in southern Crete. It was inhabited from the Neolithic period until the foundation and development of the Minoan palaces in the 15th century B.C. The Minoan city covered a considerable area around the palatial centre. After the destruction of the palace in the 15th century, the city continued to be inhabited in the Mycenaean and Geometric periods, that is, until the 8th century B.C.

  • Matala

"Life is today, tomorrow never comes”. That’s one of the many signs you can read when you reach Matala, a popular destination on the rather solitary southern coast of Crete. A visit to Matala is one of those things that every travel book will say that you have to do when visiting Crete. The place is really beautiful, and even just one day spent there is enough to feel its vibe and connect with the hippie side of Crete.

  • Zaros's Lake

Ζαρός village, in the foothills of the central mountain range of Crete, is a lovely village, with its lake and gorge nearby. It is a very relaxed, rural and leafy spot to stay awhile. The lake of Zaros with its calm immovable surface generously offers tranquility and relaxation to its guests. Surrounded by trees and lush vegetation, it reflects the beauty of the landscape in its waters.
